It's not summertime without live music, and the Skirball Cultural Center has a remedy for those concert cancellation blues: Skirball Stages! The globe-spanning evening of music will feature performances by Gavin Turek and Ak Dan Gwang Chil (ADG7).

Gavin Turek will take the stage in the Skirball's Taper Courtyard in Los Angeles, performing an intimate set of beloved and new songs, with sounds of '80s and '90s R&B. Ak Dan Gwang Chil (ADG7) will showcase a specially filmed virtual concert set in their hometown of Seoul, South Korea. Described by The New York Times as a "giddy show band with all the trappings of K-pop," the nine-piece band breathes new life into the sacred, shamanic, and secular gut (ritual music) and minyo (folk song) traditions of Hwanghae-do region — now a part of North Korea.
